Last month, Tokio Hotel fans from Vancouver had a fan meet downtown. Like most of their meetups, everyone who attended had a very good time! Here’s an account of the event written by our very own, Dezz! Pictures included, of course!

July 30th, 2010 was a very interesting and exciting day for all of us. It had been quite a while since us BC fans seen each other, and it was great to see old members, as well as having the privilege to get to meet two more new BC fans!

We met up in Pacific Center mall, standing in a circle, with various TH posters taped to some of our bodies, getting some curious looks. We even had people come up and say “My grand daughter really loves this Tokio Hotel band. Good luck getting them to come to Vancouver!” which was encouraging to hear.

After we met, we walked downtown together, taking a very scenic route and still had time to wait. We took the time to sit outside of the restaurant and have a small discussion while we waited for it to open. We went around in circles talking about our experiences with the band and answered questions like ‘when we first heard them’, ‘what our favorite song was’ and the ever so popular ‘what is your favorite Bill hairstyle?’; getting the chance to tell our stories to each other.

As shown in our pictures, and thanks to Kyle for bringing the giant Bill puzzle, we managed to create Bill on the tables of the fondue restaurant. Bill was really tall, so we had to add another table to fit him on it. But then again, even in photos Bill seems to tower over everyone!

We ate the fondue and had a good laugh at the table, really reminiscing all about Tokio Hotel passed events, until lunch was over and a few (2) members had to leave.

The remaining (5), proceeded to walk around downtown and visit a few shops on the street, and Carmelle managed to buy a very fashionable pair of American Apparel “Gay” shorts, which look smashing! We found a HMV, and looked for posters, cd’s and the new DVD, having a good discussion all about the DVD’s content and how amazing Bills “dances” were getting in his new costumes.

The day progressed, and it really was adventurous afternoon because this write up is getting quite lengthy. We made our way back to Pacific Center mall and sat in the food court. After all getting more food, we played a Tokio Hotel game that Wyanne first showed me at the first meet I ever went to. With the sticky notes on the forehead (as shown in our pictures) where we had to guess what was on our own forehead of something that was related to TH. Some easier than others, it was great fun to get to witness it.

Once again, parting your fellow fans is always hard, but from all my experiences in getting to meet with these specific fans, I can’t wait until the next one, which hopefully will be planned soon.

Peace out! :)

——–
